To provide primary purchasing support for various housing construction projects, including all building materials, plant, site sundry items, signage, PPE etc. as well as various ad-hoc purchases for clients extras, head office, customer care and sales.
Place all orders for materials and plant for various housing construction projects, against an agreed time scale.
Monitor all orders against a tender budget and assist the site QS in the preparation of the working budget.
Place all ad-hoc purchases, for construction sites or head office as required.
Schedule various materials from working drawings.
Issues tender packages to suppliers to price and schedule various materials.
Attend pre-development meetings and provide feedback on working drawings, any supply issues and dates for order key stages.
Provides customer service to internal and external customers by expediting purchasing processes ensures positive rapport with customers through effective communication.
Monitors and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner, to maintain payment to terms, where practical.
Prepare and maintain a development specification for both market and any affordable houses for each project.
Carry out material on site checks and produce report for own developments.
Ensure correct specifications are being used.
Undertake problem resolution and seek support, where appropriate.
Promote professional behaviour / ethical approach.
Experience and Qualifications:
Housebuilding experience is desireable for the role.
Demonstrates proficiency using standard office software applications, including but exclusively Excel and Word.
Must possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
